More Than Just Content

There’s been a bit of silence recently when it comes to newsletters.

The last one I sent out was back in March and somehow we’re now nearly halfway through May already. But honestly, the main reason for that is simple… the launch of the BBB website completely consumed me. In the best possible way.

For months now, almost every bit of spare energy has gone into trying to build something that finally gives all of this content a proper home. Somewhere permanent. Somewhere connected. Somewhere that feels like more than just scattered social media posts floating around on timelines for 24 hours before disappearing again.

And now that it’s finally live, I genuinely don’t think I realised emotionally what it would mean to me.

There’s something incredibly surreal about being able to say:
“Go check out my website.”

Whether that’s at the end of a video, on Cornwall Rewind Radio with Laura Mac, in a caption or through a story link… it suddenly makes BBB feel real in a completely different way. Not because the numbers are massive or because I’m suddenly making loads of money from this, because I’m not, but because there’s finally a world behind the content now.

And whilst all of this has been happening, the actual content itself has quietly evolved massively over the last few months too.

The South West Coast Path project has powered forward and I’ve covered some really good miles recently. Honestly, I’ve loved getting back out there and properly chewing up distance again. There’s something about long coastal walks that resets my brain in a way nothing else really can. Some of my favourite days recently have simply been walking for miles with a camera in my bag, stopping somewhere quiet for a pint, sitting with a book and just slowing life down for a bit.

Talking of books… I’ve genuinely fallen back in love with reading again recently.

Not reading because I feel like I should. Not reading to rush through books. Just properly enjoying it again. Sitting on the coast path with a pint, finding quiet corners to disappear into a chapter or two and reconnecting with that slower side of BBB that has always mattered to me.

At the same time, creatively, things have felt really refreshing again too.

The rollout of new ideas like TentBox Diaries has honestly been a game changer. It’s reminded me how much I love simply creating. Not overthinking everything. Not putting pressure on every single upload. Just making useful, atmospheric, enjoyable content that gives people a reason to stick around and be part of this world.

How Books Quietly Became Part of Bimbling, Books & Beer

When people first discover Bimbling, Books & Beer, the walking usually makes immediate sense. Cornwall’s coastal paths, sea swims and the occasional pint at the end of a long day outside are easy things to understand. The books, however, arrived much more quietly. They have always been there in the background of my life, but…

Why I Haven’t Focused on YouTube Until Now Over the past few months, Bimbling Books & Beer has grown quietly across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube.
