About me 🌿
I’m Dan, a Cornwall based content creator and storyteller. I create calm, honest content rooted in walking, wild places, books, and everyday moments that help people slow down and reconnect.
Alongside the creative work, Bimbling, Books & Beer is also my way of building a self sustaining working pattern that genuinely works for me. Through my own experiences of employment, I’ve come to reflect that many traditional working structures are not always conducive to positive mental health. This work allows me to move at a pace that supports wellbeing, creativity, and fatherhood, while producing thoughtful, professional storytelling shaped by lived experience rather than trends.
About Bimbling, Books & Beer 📚
Bimbling, Books & Beer is both my creative platform and my business. It began as a personal outlet and has grown into a storytelling project centred around slow travel, coastal landscapes, books, pubs, and time outdoors. Through short films, reflective writing, photography, and collaborations, it celebrates connection to place, community, and self. While social media plays a role in discovery, the heart of Bimbling, Books & Beer is trust, intention, and long term value rather than chasing reach or algorithms.
My journey and where I’m going 🚶🏼♂️
After significant life changes and becoming a single father, I reached a point where I needed to rethink how I worked and lived. I’m currently building Bimbling, Books & Beer into a sustainable income that supports me and my daughter, while staying aligned with my values.
My focus is on creating stronger foundations through a website, a newsletter, and direct relationships with my audience and collaborators, reducing reliance on third party platforms. Over the coming months, my aim is to grow paid brand partnerships that fit my storytelling style, develop simple products, and explore experiences such as small group coastal walks, all while keeping the work realistic, grounded, and human.
Why should you stick around?
This is basically me putting the kettle on and leaving the door open for you. I’ll be sharing walks, thoughts, places I love, things I’m figuring out as I go, and the odd ramble that probably didn’t need to be written down but felt right at the time.
I’ll also be figuring out how to build this website into something you actually want to come back to, and hopefully something you can’t live without, while bringing you into the Bimbling, Books & Beer community along the way. No pressure to agree with everything or read it all just take what you need, when you need it.
