Why I’m Taking YouTube Seriously This Year

Why I Haven’t Focused on YouTube Until Now

Over the past few months, Bimbling Books & Beer has grown quietly across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and YouTube. But until recently, YouTube was the platform I hadn’t fully committed to. If I’m honest, I’ve been so overloaded with producing content for the other platforms, I’ve just been honing my filming and editing skills, as well as trying to secure paid work. What’s Changing This Year

This year, I’m focusing on long-form YouTube content as the backbone of BBB. Not chasing viral numbers, but building something steady, useful, and honest over time.

That means:

  • Weekly long-form uploads
  • More walking projects and real reflections
  • Behind-the-scenes insight into building BBB full-time
  • Less perfection, more progress

The South West Coast Path Project

One of the main projects I’m starting properly is documenting sections of the South West Coast Path, walked over time, without pressure to rush or “complete” it. Although you’d best believe me when I say, this is very much going to be the goal at some point.

YouTube gives me the space to tell my stories properly.

If you’re interested in walking, slow travel, creativity, or what it really looks like trying to build something from scratch, you’re very welcome to follow along.
